  • Good resource for Algebra and inequalities

Hey guys, struggling with some of the material on the site for algebra as it seems to cover basic algebra, but when I jump into the more complex stuff there is no breakdown on how to do them.

Do you guys have a resource that you use to study?

Also, wanting more info on the inequalities, I've done some youtube searches on both, either it's too basic or way too complex for both topics.

    Thanks everyone!

Hey jonnysods! I found that online math resources such as Khan Academy really helped when I was trying to refresh my algebra and inequality skills. If you search around the website a little there are a bunch of videos that go over how to solve more complex problems. You wont find the exact problems that you're finding on the practice tests but your basic understanding of how to complete them should be improved through the practice videos.

    Best of Luck!

      Pati (math) help

Whoever asked that question has probably gone on and written and hopefully passed, but there will always be others needing help. I haven't been on the forum in ages I had to re-do my Pati (where'd those 3 years go?) when I struggle with the math component, and there are struggles. I hired a tutor of grade 9 math just for 2 hrs. who printed me off some sheets for practice with answers. The PP book has some good examples but you need to practice a few to get the understanding, that is, if you haven't done grade nine math (like me) for awhile. If you have your head wrapped around all 6 components of the pati and try some practice exercises you should be good. And the actual sample tests on this website are exactly what you need to practice.

I learned from a guy on YouTube named MATHANTICS

He teaches slow but not in a condescending way. Really helped.

For a lot of questions though just remember this rule - D=RT

Distance = Rate multiplied by Time

To find rate or time, just bring one over to the other side and you got Distance divided by Rate = Time
