  • Ready for York Regional Police

I just got my OACP certification, and ready to apply for York Regional Police. But here I have a question. As a immigrant, I didnt have Ontario secondary school education since I did not attend high school here in Ontario, do I need other documents for my application? BTW, I do have two community college diploma.

    Thanks

You can still apply but you may be asked for the GED. With Peel, they don't require it until later and they will let you know if it's required depending on your situation. With other services, you may want to be proactive and get it done. This way when asked it shows initiative and you did your research and have the document ready. You really don't want to be in a position of waiting around because of a document that's holding you back. There are a lot of applicants and the service needs to move on. Keep that in mind.
Best thing - Call the service of interest to get clarification, they will let you know exactly what to do. That's what they are there for.
